A few weeks ago I made a trip to Kohl’s for this collaboration and did not plan on buying anything else. As I walked through the aisle this floral skirt bursting with buds immediately caught my eye. I also noticed other beautiful chic pieces made by the same label, ELLE. Apparently this skirt is part of the ELLE Runway Collection for Fall 2014 by Kohl’s inspired by the Parisian glamour lifestyle. No wonder I was drawn to this skirt because the floral buds on this skirt reminded me of the blooming trees that line the cobblestone streets of Paris. After perusing the racks for 10 minutes or so I spotted this elegant but fierce and bold coat (very Tory Burch!) that I wanted to take home as well but they didn’t have my size 🙁 . But this caught my eye and I bought it along with this skirt instead.
Once the temperature dropped I took this skirt out to play. I paired it with a top from Ann Taylor that I bought a few months ago when it was on sale for $7.49. This whole look (excluding the handbag) is less than $100. I may be thousands of miles away from Paris but wearing this skirt brought me closer to their cobblestone streets and outdoor cafes.

Thank you Jan. Sometimes you don’t need a lot of jewelry to make a statement. And most often, simplicity is the key to looking elegant.
This outfit is perfect and reminds me of a certain outfit of mine. I own a turquoise pair of heels that also have bows on them. I pair them with a midi skirt from express and tuck in a blouse. I feel so feminine with my skirt and bow heels 🙂
