In a few weeks Christmas will be here, are you ready?  I don’t know about you, but this is a very magical time of year that tends to inject a bit of childlike excitement that I can’t control.  Even with the anticipated stress, I can’t help but eagerly await all of the traditional decor, wrapping gifts, events and gatherings that are waiting to be enjoyed.  I’m excited this year in particular because my twins are more independent than last year and the year before.  I no longer fear for their safety when it comes to holiday decorations, especially the Christmas tree lights.  I’m also excited that G & I will be hosting our Christmas Eve dinner for our family & friends.

To kick start the Christmas spirit we went to get a Christmas tree a couple nights ago.  If you’ve been following me on Instagram then you know we finished decorating the tree an hour later.  I have compiled a list of inspirational Christmas trees in my ideabook to implement on our new tree.  With all the excitement and laughter that night we decorated the tree without looking at the pictures first.  Although it didn’t turn out like any of these beautiful inspired Christmas trees it was our own creation and there’s nothing more rewarding than decorating imperfectly together as a family.

P.S.  Mama in Heels is nominated for Blog Influencer of the Year from Voiceboks.  It would mean the world to me if you could spare 30 seconds to vote for me here by clicking on the thumbs up!  100% of the winning proceeds will go towards my favorite charity, St Jude Research Hosital! Thank you so much for your support!!!
