Our family vacation trip is just a few weeks away.  We will be visiting our family, but this time we want to do more…visit other places to immerse ourselves in the culture.  We love to travel and the thought of doing nothing but to stroll along the winding cobblestone streets, admiring charming chalets, visiting darling shops and people watch at cozy cafes really get me excited.  And who can ever resist the view from a city that is perched on top of a cliff overlooking the St. Lawrence River.

Yep, we are heading to enjoy a slice of France in my in-law’s backyard, Quebec City in Canada.

My first time visiting Quebec City was 8 years ago with hubby.  It was a business trip so it was fast and furious, but I couldn’t shake the image of Old Quebec City after that first encounter.  Ever since then I’ve been yearning to go back to get to know the culture and enjoy the exquisite croissants and cafes the city has to offer.

For the past week or so we have been planning for our trip from buying train tickets to what outfits to wear. Yep, clothing is very important because the city is expected to be hot and humid so it will require some ingenuity when it comes to packing stylish but comfortable clothing.  I will share the list and the items before take off so stay tuned!

Until then, have a great weekend and I will see you on the blog next week.
