May is around the corner and so is Mother’s Day, a day mostly known to celebrate all mothers around the world. Mother’s Day is an opportunity to tell our mother how important she is because she is a counselor, a guide to which one turns, by whom the values and traditions are passed along.
Becoming a mom made me see my mother in a whole new light. I’m in awe at my mom for raising five kids while working at the same time. Although my grandmother helped out by taking care of me for the first decade of my life, my mom did play a pivotal role to bestow certain values and traditions onto me.
One of the most significant lessons I learned from my mom is to always appreciate what I have. She also taught me the importance of caring for myself, especially my skin.
My mom has neglected her skin for years until a few years ago. She now does her facials at home whenever she can and also sees her dermatologist occasionally if needed.
We all know how expensive visiting a facialist can be and I’m so grateful to have places like Walgreens who can offer affordable everyday beauty and skincare essentials to consumers like me. If you stop by Walgreens, then you will notice a capsule collection of Walgreens beauty skincare products on their beauty aisle from beauty brushes to body washes. They recently relaunched their beauty brand called Walgreens beauty, formerly known as Studio 35, that offers makeup tools, bath and body, and skin care options. These products are free from parabens, phatalates, sulfates and alcohol. They are also deeply nourishing and gentle enough for sensitive skin, and final product is not tested on animals, which I love.
One of my beauty indulgences is taking baths. My baths always include bubbles and essential oils because I love how soft and silky they make my skin feel. That’s why I love Walgreens Relax Hydrating Body Washes and Nourish Body Lotions, especially the French Lavender scent. Not only does this scent smells nice but the creaminess of the formula suds up well. The best part is that it helps calm my mind and body almost instantly and make me feel the stress of the day melts off of my body. Overall, it leaves my skin silky smooth, refreshed and hydrated.
I want my mom to experience the same feelings from these products. So for this Mother’s Day celebration, I’m going to show how much I appreciate all the things she did for me with these beauty products from Walgreens beauty. I will also thank her and let her know about all those good things she did to make me the person I am today.
