bodysuit shapewear

What do you do to slim down unwanted body bulges?  For me, I always turn to bodysuit shapewear to shape and smooth my body to fit into cocktail dresses, work clothes, and everything else in between.  The key is to find the right shapewear for your body type.

Buying shapewear can be a daunting task.  You want shapewear that offers the right support and coverage no matter what type of body you have.  I personally love shapewear that is not too tight and is able to smooth, enhance, lift and tone my body.  The number one rule is NOT to go down a shapewear size. Make sure you have your measurements readily available and choose the size that is made for those measurements.

I have rounded up my favorite type of shapewear to help you look sleek and toned.

BODYSUITS

I love a bodysuit that offers the right support and can hold everything in place.  It should stay tucked and won’t bunch underneath your fitted tops while sculpting your entire body giving you this sleek sexy figure.

CAMISOLE

The camisole really works wonders to hide those lumps or bumps.  I love wearing it under my sweater or blouse to reduce the muffin top.

BUST SHAPER

As we age everything goes downhill, including our bust.  I love wearing bras or bralettes with the right support to give my bust the lift. I look for bras with light foams to enhance my curves and form to my body.  Perfect to wear underneath a T-Shirt or with a light cashmere sweater like I’m wearing in this photo.

HIGH WAISTED BRIEFS

If you are looking to slim the areas just under the bust I highly recommend the high waisted brief shapewear.  Look for styles that hold in your tummy yet feel light and smooth while providing a super flattering look.

THIGHS/LEGS

If you are looking to help slim and trim the look of the upper part of your legs, I have found some of the best shapewear that wor well for thighs with varying levels of support to help give your clothes a seamless and smooth look with no lines or bulges anywhere.

Selecting shapewear that is practical yet feels comfortable is the key to looking chic and effortless.

  1. Arrggghhh….I have never found these garments to be comfortable. Anytime I wear one, the moment I get home, it comes out. The bodysuits wedgie, the camis roll up and chaff the armpits, any covering the pelvis makes the bladder feel full, underwires poke the sternum. I think I prefer to exercise, eat less and otherwise let my stuff hang out.

I hear you. Sometimes I feel that way and yet most often than not, I find these bodysuits very helpful on those bloated days.
