2020 has been a cruel year – a year like no other.  We celebrated Thanksgiving like no other.  We celebrated Christmas like no other.  And tonight, a New Year Eve’s like no other.

2020 has also tested us in more ways than we thought possible – the isolation, challenges, and uncertainties.  It certainly has forced us to accept realities and make changes to our lives that we couldn’t have imagined.  It’s been harsh, grim, and tough but also many silver linings.

I count my blessings every day.  Nobody in my family got sick, never mind died.  Unfortunately, many others weren’t so lucky.

If we can get through this and be fortunate to reflect on the year that was, there’s nothing else that can stop us from what we want to do.

For 2021, I hope for a kinder world and continue to stay positive and try my best to stay healthy because I want to wake up every day and enjoy every moment with my family and friends.  Wouldn’t that be nice?  Let’s all raise our glasses and toast to a better year, a better tomorrow, a better future, and a better us more aware of how we truly want to live and engage with the world.
