Welcome to another installment of A Month of Tiny Delights.   Last month I did most of those things so that I could slow down and enjoy those blissful moments.  This June I invite you to pause and revel in life’s little blissful moments that can turn a whole day around since it can be hard to slow down at a time in life where everything moves so quickly.

So for this month why not…

MAKE PRINTS WITH LEAVES

My kids brought home some leaf prints on paper from school a couple of weeks ago.  This exercise seemed relaxing and they really enjoyed doing it.  That gave me an idea to do this for their summer break.  I’m not crafty at all so there’s going to be some learning curve from this mama.

WATCH THE BIRDS EATING FROM THE FEEDER

I used to watch the birds eating from the feeder at least three times a week at our previous home.  We had a bird feeder and it attracted a lot of birds because we kept the feeder full with their food.  It was amazing just watching that.  We need to install one now that one of our trees are taller and stronger now.

VISIT A FARMER’S MARKET

If you follow me on Insta Stories then you know we do this very often in our neighborhood.  You don’t have to buy everything on display.  Just taking a stroll and meeting new people will put a smile on your face.

DIP YOUR TOES IN THE OCEAN

I think we all love hanging out at the beach and dip our toes in the ocean.  There’s something soothing and comforting about that experience.

PICK WILD STRAWBERRIES

We’ve been talking about doing this as a family for a very long time.  We seemed to have missed it every summer.  This summer we are determined to venture out of our home and pick some wild strawberries before the summer is over.  I would encourage you to do the same if you have the opportunity to do so.

MAKE A FRESH FRUIT SMOOTHIE

I love eating and drinking anything that is healthy.  This month why not make a fruit smoothie and add some antioxidant ingredients like ginger for health benefits.

RIDE THE CAR WITH THE TOP DOWN

Ok, not everyone has the luxury of owning a convertible car.  But…if you have one or can rent one I would highly recommend it because it’s an exhilarating experience.

SIT UNDER THE SHADE OF A TREE

Have you tried sitting under the shade of a tree?  Or having a picnic and even a nap?  It’s one of my favorite summer past times.  You have to try it.  It will clear your mind like meditation.

DANCE IN THE KITCHEN

I love to cook and whenever I cook I love to crank up the music, have a glass of wine, and dance.  This is one of the best stress relievers ever.  Try it!  Photo Credit: Designed by Freepik

JUST STARGAZING

I used to do a lot of stargazing when I was younger and although I really enjoyed the experience I didn’t really know how to appreciate the calm that it offered.  Now that I’m older I want to do this more because seeing and enjoying nature can reduce your stress.  And it is free no matter where you live!

June is the month where spring merging into summer and the weather gets warmer and drier.   But there’s still plenty of time to do one or all of the above tiny delights to turn your day around.
