First, I want to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families, and everyone who are affected by the Santa Monica shooting tragedy.

Now, on to today’s post.

I recently got together with my really good girl friends for tea time.  I have not seen them in ages and thanks to Facebook we were able to connect 🙂  I chose this vintage lace dress because I absolutely love it and have been looking for an appropriate venue to wear it again.  I’ve been hoarding this dress for a couple decades now and can’t seem to let go.  I paired it with INPINK’s red stone marble necklace and the dome cocktail ring to update the look.  I thought white, lace, red, and gold would be perfect for the venue.  Between all of our schedules it’s hard to find a day where all of the girls can get together and enjoy an afternoon tea.  I’m sure you can tell how much I enjoy having tea from my previous post here.

What did we talk about for an hour and ½ half while binging on mayo galore sandwiches, highly caffeinated tea, and overly fattening sconces?  Well, we touched on topics from aspirations to relationships, kids, social media and speed dating (few of my friends are single and divorced), shopping , best places to eat, and aging…we didn’t realize how old we looked until we actually saw one another cuz we’re about the same age LOL–but we are still young at heart 🙂

One friend updated us about her work and family issues.  Another friend just started a new job and how she is more happy now because everyone seems to be competent at what they’re doing.  We talked about how life changes so quickly and change could be a good thing but may seem scary.  One friend who is still single talked about how hard it was to find “the one” nowadays.

Although the time was short I thoroughly enjoyed their company.  These ladies are talented, classy, and have great sense of humor.  We always have a blast whenever we get together.  We decided to make time to see each other more often now.

Gosh you look stunning. It’s lovely to really connect with the ladies in our lives right? I giggled at how that conversation (with those topics) is probably taking place in many languages around the world (and how happy all of those women probably are too).

Thanks for sharing with Wardrobe Wednesday xx
